Whitney and Heath have a contagious joy when they are together! Surrounded by so many supportive friends and family members, it was exciting to witness (and document!) their first day as husband and wife. I know they have a fun life ahead of them, full of laughter and good times. Congratulations! (Also can we just talk for a minute about the amazing nitro cold brew on tap, via The Normal Roasting Company? All wedding photographers everywhere said, "Amen!") Shout out to Laura from The Laura B, who was my right hand lady and second shooter.

Oh heavens, where do I even begin? Jenny has been one of the dearest people to our family for nearly two decades. She has walked through many ups and downs in life alongside our family (and has even celebrated holidays with us!). It was such an honor to head out west to Los Angeles and document her wedding (while 33 weeks pregnant...whew!). In a weird twist of fate (or God's sense of humor?), Adam is originally from Nebraska, which made for a solid contingency of Husker fans on the guest list. I am so excited for Jenny and Adam and I can't wait to see what God does in their lives together! A specially special thanks to my dear Laura (from The Laura B) who came down from Seattle to second shoot for me.

When my husband and I got married January 1, 2010, I had been praying hard that it wouldn't snow the weekend of our wedding. Living in the middle of Nebraska, with family and friends traveling from all over the Midwest, it was a legitimate concern that the weather would prevent important people from being at our wedding. We had a blizzard the weekend before and a blizzard the weekend after, but New Years Day of 2010 was blessedly free of snow. However, I had a bit of an oversight with my request: I failed to ask that the weather would be snow-free AND warm. We ended up shivering through a day that never reached above 1 degree!

As a January bride, I have a soft spot in my heart for winter weddings. Brian and Anna were married in a small, intimate ceremony at the Arrow Hotel in Broken Bow. December gave us a beautiful sunshiney afternoon to spend a little while taking photographs around downtown, one of my favorite places to take photos! Brian and Anna kept everyone laughing during their portraits and I think that's a direct indication that they are headed for a joy-filled marriage. Thanks so much for allowing me to celebrate with you! And thanks to Tauni Morris for her exellence assistance.
